Jama’at said government of India has frustrated from the resolve and commitment of Kashmiris who are serving the just and genuine freedom struggle to get the issue resolved as per the resolutions passed by United Nations Security Council to which India itself is a signatory party. Despite the world powers showed its involvement for its permanent settlement and to provide the due share and succor to people of Kashmir, India shamefully playing dilly dallying tactics to hoodwink the international community in one pretext or other.

As Indian Home Minister Raj Nath Singh spoke on April 11, 2017 and vowed to ‘transform the Kashmir in a year’, India has now adopted a new strategy to defame the pro-freedom leadership of Kashmir between the people in order to put a full stop over the demand they raise for their nation. For that NIA is being used and a malicious campaign has been initiated to harass, intimate and subjugate Kashmiri pro-freedom leadership, business fraternity, lawyers etc including their kith and kin. A fresh attempt by NIA summoned to Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, President of High Court Bar Association is a malicious and denigrated move and is entirely unacceptable for Kashmiri nation. Bar Association of Kashmir is a staunch platform of freedom movement that advocates Kashmir dispute in and outside the state for its peaceful and permanent settlement. High Court Bar Association being an devoted supporter of Kashmir conundrum, New Delhi has now targeted the same for completion of its hateful agenda and thus to choke every voice of dissent. Virtually New Delhi has been disturbed from the efforts like plan of challenging the jurisdiction of NIA into Kashmir, use of pellet guns upon hapless and unarmed Kashmiris, defending article 35 (A) & 370 by Bar Association, it is why such a pious and visionary forum is being assaulted on the basis of political vengeance.

Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir condemns NIA beckon to Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom and terms it a well thought out design to retreat this forum from supporting the voice of Kashmiris. Jama’at expresses complete solidarity with High Court Bar Association and urges international rights groups to take strong note rights abuses by New-Delhi being done for muzzling the just and genuine demand of Kashmiris.
